I recently enjoyed a delightful stay at Hotel Le Yachtman during a spontaneous city trip, and I must say, this place has got it right on so many levels. The room was stunning, with a stylish design and a comfortable ambiance, making it perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring La Rochelle’s vibrant streets and rich history. Breakfast was a real highlight—imagine enjoying fresh fruit salad and delectable pastries while gazing out at the Old Port; the coffee selection was top-notch, adding to the lovely experience. The staff truly shines at this hotel; everyone, from the charismatic front desk team to the attentive breakfast server, made us feel exceptionally welcome. Their friendly demeanor was matched by their professionalism, ensuring all our needs were met, whether it was directions or advice on local markets and parks to visit. And, let’s not forget the spectacular terrace with views over the harbour—what a perfect backdrop for a little leisure time by the heated pool! While everything was fantastic, there were a couple of minor hiccups in the bathroom that could use some attention, but it certainly didn’t overshadow our enjoyable stay. If you're looking for a unique experience that also embraces the charm of La Rochelle, Hotel Le Yachtman is well worth the visit!
